Buzzard Lope are a piano led trio from London which ploughs the rich fertile furrow first sowed by Waits, Cave, Cohen and company. Fronted by Roger Illingworth, with Adam Jarvis on upright bass and Raph Saib on drums, the band’s melancholic pop is loved for it’s weight, grain, drama and melody. Something stuck in the throat, a late night bar lit by candlelight: with tender words and a sense of the absurd, Buzzard Lope attempt to fan flames that elsewhere are left to dwindle. 'Daybreak' is the debut mini-album available from the Lost Toys Shop in advance of a wider release in the near future. It is also available to downloaded from BandCamp, where you will also find the free download record, 'Sketches and Juvenelia'.
